Brew for Change: A Community Initiative Worth Celebrating ☕♻️
Karratha came together in the best way over the past few weeks, with the Brew for Change initiative bringing locals, businesses, and sustainability efforts into one simple (and delicious) experience — coffee.
In partnership with the City of Karratha, we were proud to take part in this feel-good initiative, encouraging the use of reusable cups while giving the community a reason to slow down, connect, and enjoy a free coffee.
Held across three mornings — February 10th, March 3rd, and March 19th, the response was nothing short of incredible.
A Simple Idea, A Big Impact
The concept was simple: bring in a reusable cup, and enjoy a free coffee on us.
But what it created was something much bigger.
We saw a steady flow of both familiar faces and brand new customers walking through the doors, many of whom were excited to support the initiative and explore a local business they hadn’t visited before. It became more than just a coffee stop, it was a chance for people to connect, try something new, and be part of a positive movement.
Supporting Sustainable Habits
One of the most rewarding parts of Brew for Change was seeing the community embrace the idea of reducing single-use waste. Small actions, like choosing a reusable cup, can have a lasting impact — and it was great to see so many people getting behind that message.
With the support of the City of Karratha, the initiative highlighted just how powerful local collaboration can be when it comes to driving meaningful change.

Bringing the Community Together
Beyond sustainability, Brew for Change created a genuine sense of community.
For us, it was also an opportunity to welcome new faces into Karratha Indoor Golf. Many visitors came in for the coffee and left already planning their next visit, whether for a casual hit, a catch-up with friends, or something a little different to do in town.
Looking Ahead
Given the overwhelmingly positive response, there’s strong potential for Brew for Change to return in the future, and we’re all for it.
Initiatives like this not only support local businesses but also encourage better habits and stronger community connections. If another round is on the horizon, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
In the meantime, a big thank you to everyone who came down, brought their reusable cups, and helped make Brew for Change such a success. And of course, a shoutout to the City of Karratha for driving such a meaningful initiative.
